Depending on which level course is most needed (Spanish 1, 2, 3, etc.), the course will be a remediation Spanish course that gives students the opportunity to improve their grade from the year prior. The course will include basic skill work aimed at improving the students ability to conjugate verbs in the past and present tense. The course will also include a variety activities from the textbook that help build the students vocabulary. Students will also need to finish one novel in Spanish and complete a book report. The book will be provided by the teacher. Students in the course are required to submit papers that actively demonstrate their knowledge of the learning goals assessed throughout the course. Since this is a Spanish class, students will also be expected to provide oral samples of their work in the target language. Students will be able to upload voice threads through web pages/apps, or potentially through google voice. I am currently exploring which apps would work best and which ones are most accessible to students. One of the benefits of this course is that it will be able to be taken online. Students will have the opportunity to work at their own pace, and complete weekly learning modules that document their progression through the course. Students unable to complete coursework or demonstrate their knowledge will not pass the course.

This course may NOT be taken for advanced credit. You will not receive credit if you have not previously taken this course. You may take these courses as a preview or introduction to the course for NO CREDIT.
